Al Saba Halal Poultry is a dynamic halal meat processing and wholesaling business. Due to the growing demand for our meat supply, we are looking immediately for a full time permanent meat cutter for our primary location. The job location would be 13- 115 Ironside Cr. Scarborough ON, M1X1M1. Candidate is required to have basic skills in English language, have a minimum of secondary school education or equivalent experience. With secondary school education, no experience is required. There is no remote work option available.

The meat cutter should be able to perform following responsibilities:

1. Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
2. Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
3. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
4. Wrap and package prepared meats
5. Remove bones from meat
6. Weigh meats for sale
7. Cut poultry into parts
8. Price meat products
9. Grind meats
10. Prepare special orders
11. Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats and poultry
12. Move meat from refrigerator and onto the cutting table
13. Ensure cleanliness of the cutting table and maintain hygiene as per company policy
14. Ensure safe and adequate disposal of waste as per our guidance and demonstrate strict compliance of work safety and care

The work is physically demanding and requires reliability, multiple sitting, standing and walking tasks with and without meat load. It requires attention to detail, and extended standing during busy hours. Some heavy lifting of meat packages will be required. Odours of meat and hot/ cold surfaces for work are usual in meat storage and processing work.
